Preservation Efforts

The station has undergone several major changes in its modern history. In 1986, the station was more extensively refurbished, including the addition of new facilities like air-conditioned waiting halls, tourism information counters and snack bars. The interior windows were replaced with their modern counterparts and the exterior was repaired and preserved.
